EUCNC and China Construction Group Make Joint Efforts To Promote Urban Internationalization

14th Nov. 2017, EUCNC Henan representative office signed the strategic cooperation agreement with China Construction (Zhengzhou) Urban Development Co., Ltd. Representatives from the company including Luo Zhongyuan, secretary of the Party committee attended the signing ceremony. Xie Jianzhong, executive president of EUCNC led the team from EUCNC to attend the ceremony.

Since its establishment, EUCNC Henan office conducted several rounds of conversations and resource screenings with EU headquarter, European Parliament China-EU Friendship Group and EU member states in order to effectively facilitate the implementation of China-EU small towns mentioned in “Belt and Road” initiative, carbon finance, industry 4.0, big data etc. 

China Construction (Zhengzhou) Urban Development Co., Ltd. was established in 2012 dedicated to the management and operation of new urban district, small towns and industrial towns. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Xie Jianzhong, executive president of EUCNC announced the good news from Switzerland: EUCNC’s proposal, with regard to setting up a pilot Sino-Swiss Free Trade Zone “6+2”, addressed to Swiss government and Swiss Canton of Neuchatel received feedback. The Swiss side provided a list of around 200 partners covering various industries, including life science technology, IT, finance, engineering, clean technology, education and innovation. They also invite EUCUC to visit Zurich on 8th December to further discuss the implementation. Also, EUCNC will visit Hungry this month at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs. 

EUCNC had an in-depth conversation with China Construction (Zhengzhou) Urban Development Co., Ltd. in terms of EUCNC’s global resource pool, current intention of European industrial institutions and joint projects to be implemented between EU and China. Both sides also outlined the areas to further cooperate and discussed the feasible operation model.
